31 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #2

How far along: 31 weeks. Only 9 weeks left!
Total weight gain/measurements: 14 lbs
Maternity clothes: Absolutely. Almost everything I wear is a maternity item.
Stretch marks: No new ones! Still using Bio-Oil in the morning and Palmer's Cocoa Butter at night.
Sleep: Been waking up a couple times a night to use the restroom, other than that not too bad.
Best moment this week:Had an ultrasound Monday. I love seeing the little cutie!
Miss anything? Having energy
Movement: Yep!
Food cravings: Apple juice.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Walking by the raw meat at the supermarket. I still can't stand the smell!
Gender: STILL don't know yet as baby didn't cooperate once again. I'm not sure if I will have another ultrasound before baby gets here or not so the gender may end up being a surprise.
Labor signs:None
Symptoms: Low energy, swollen feet, and some pains here and there. Can't really complain though.
Belly button in or out? Starting to pop out!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy for the most part.
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving and seeing my family.

28 Weeks Pregnant With Baby #2!

How far along: 28 weeks. Last trimester, here we come!
Total weight gain/measurements: 10 lbs as of Monday.
Maternity clothes: Absolutely. Almost everything I wear is a maternity item. The medium sized t-shirts are starting to get a little snug
Stretch marks: No new ones, YAY! Still using Bio-Oil in the morning and Palmer's Cocoa Butter at night.
Sleep: Been waking up a couple times a night to use the restroom and usually stay awake after Tim leaves for work about 6:45 a.m.
Best moment this week: Went to the doctor on Monday and got to hear little munchkin's heartbeat. That's a sound I love hearing. We also had a lot of fun taking Harper trick-or-treating. We just took her to Tim's parents' and grandparents' house since it was so cold but she liked picking her candy out.
Miss anything? Not being in pain as this baby gets bigger.
Movement: Lots of it!
Food cravings: Nothing in particular.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Walking by the raw meat at the supermarket. I can't stand the smell!
Gender: We don't know yet. Baby has not cooperated the last couple ultrasounds we had. He/she has had his/her legs tucked right were the tech has needed to look.
Labor signs:None
Symptoms: Sore boobs, peeling nails, fatigue, sciatic nerve pain, and lately upper abdominal pain. I think its my muscles moving to make room for the growing belly. Tim got me a maternity girdle last night and I have felt a lot better today.
Belly button in or out? Still in, but barely.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy for the most part, but I can loose my patience pretty quickly these days.
Looking forward to: One of my best friends' wedding this weekend!!!! Last I checked my bridesmaid dress still fit.

Harper's crib was converted to a toddler bed today. So much easier to get her in and out of.

Here is my 28 weeks update when I was pregnant with Harper!

17 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #2

How far along?  17 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: Not sure, I guess we shall see in a little over a week since we don't have a scale at home.
Maternity clothes: Absolutely. Almost everything I wear is a maternity item.
Stretch marks: No new ones! Still using Bio-Oil in the morning and Palmer's Cocoa Butter at night.
Sleep: Has been awful while in San Diego. I kept waking up with my hips killing me. I did sleep amazing last night in our bed at home with my Bump Nest Pregnancy Pillow.I think I only woke up once and I was soooo comfy.
Best moment this week: Being in San Diego! I absolutely loved it out there and would go back in a heartbeat. Before we left I told Tim I didn't want to leave. Maybe we can go back some day just the two of us. It was also in the mid 70s while we were there which has really put me in the mood for fall! Anyone else?
Miss anything? Sleeping in my bed with my wonderful pillow. I leave tonight for another bachelorette party in Nashville. Would it be wrong if I took my pillow with me?
Movement: Nothing really this week.
Food cravings: Bagels and butter popcorn with salt.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Walking by the raw meat at the supermarket. I make Tim go get any raw meat we need. I can't stand the smell!
Gender: We don't know yet but Tim and I both think we are having a boy.
Labor signs:None!
Symptoms: Sore boobs, peeling nails, and feeling tired a lot.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy for the most part, unless I'm hungry. Then I get HANGRY!!!!
Looking forward to: Bachalorette party this weekend then relaxing at home the rest of the week. Oh and getting my hair colored on Tuesday with a more fall-ish color. A little nervous since I have mostly stuck to being blond so hopefully I'll like it.

And here is a comparison when I was pregnant with Harper and now with baby #2!

16 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #2!

Here we go again with baby number 2! We shall see how well I keep this update! Also the lighting in the room is awful! We will have to try and take pictures during the day from here on out.
How far along?  16 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: As of 2 weeks ago I was down 2.5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. I had a cold with a sore throat and a three week cough. It stinks that you can't really take any medication when you are pregnant to help. We don't own a scale at home so there is no way for me to know what my current weight is. I guess we will have to wait and see at my next doctor appointment at the end of the month.
Maternity clothes: I'm wearing maternity shorts and some shirts. When I first found out I was pregnant I bought a bigger pair of regular shorts, which are a little too snug now.
Stretch marks: No new ones! I was really bad last time about putting on lotion to help with that but this time around I use Bio-Oil in the morning and Palmer's Cocoa Butter at night. I'm still trying to get my old stretch marks to fade some more.
Sleep: Hasn't been the best, I have a hard time falling asleep no matter how early I get up. However, I got a Bump Nest Pregnancy Pillow last week and it is really comfortable. We have also been transitioning Harper to her crib so that also has me up a couple of times a night. Baby steps.....
Best moment this week: Coming back from a bachelorette party in Nashville and getting to see both Tim and Harper. I did miss them while I was away from them over the weekend.
Miss anything? Having a beer or glass of wine.
Movement: I think this week I finally felt the baby move. I can't wait until the movements get stronger!
Food cravings: Bagels and butter popcorn with salt.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Walking by the raw meat at the supermarket. So gross!
Gender: We find out on the 24th! I can't wait to find out so I can begin working on the nursery!
Labor signs:None, thank goodness.
Symptoms: Sore boobs and feeling tired a lot, but that may be just because I have a one year old to chase around all day. Also my nails have been peeling and breaking really bad, which was the exact opposite from when I was pregnant With Harp.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Both. So sorry Tim.
Looking forward to: Going to San Diego. I have always wanted to go to California and we get to go this week since Tim has a conference out there. SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

Harper's Two Months and Favorite Baby Products!

I can't believe my little baby is already two months old! Time sure has flown by! I have enjoyed every single minute with her and look forward to watching her grow. She has already changed so much.
Harper took her first road trip to Missouri to visit my grandparents. She has started smiling and is such a little ham! She loves to snuggle, get baths, and go on walks. She has started cooing and will "talk" back to you. I've started reading to her every day. My favorite books so far are Olivia, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and On The Night You Were Born. I didn't have these books growing up and I actually enjoy them myself ;)
At her two month appointment today Harper weighed 12 lbs 7 oz (73 percentile) and was 23 3/4 inches tall (94 percentile). Doctor is very happy with Harper's growth and development!

Since I have quite a few preggie friends, I figured I would share a few of my favorite baby products so far!

Baby K'Tan Wrap Baby Carrier - I started using this baby carrier when Harper was about 3 weeks old. I love that it gives me a free hand when Harper doesn't want to be put down. Harper loves it and usually falls asleep while she is in it.

Boon Grass Countertop Bottle Drying Rack - I love this drying rack! It is cute, looks great on my counter top, and along with the accessories, it holds all my breast pump parts.

Dr. Bronner’s Unscented Baby-Mild Pure Castile Soap - I use this on Harper's body, hair, and in her homemade baby wipes. I did a lot of research before Harper was born on all natural, pure, and organic baby products since I had heard Johnson and Johnson's products contain formaldehyde and cancer causing chemicals. Since cancer runs in my family I want to try to protect Harper from it as much as I can. For the homemade wipes I take Bounty Select-a-size paper towels and cut them in half and place in a plastic container. I take 1 3/4 cups of water a microwave it for five minutes then add 1 tablespoon Castile Soap, 1 tablespoon coconut oil, and 5 drops of tea tree oil and mix. Once it cools I pour over the paper towels and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then I remove the cardboard tube from the middle, which starts to pull each paper towel out. I love making my own baby wipes since I know exactly what ingredients are going into them.

Medela Pump In Style Advanced Breast Pump On-The-Go Tote - I've been using this breast pump since Harper was about two weeks old and storing them in these bags. These bags hold the most milk and seal the best. I plan on pumping enough milk for Harper to drink until she is 2 years old, as recommended by the World Health Organization (and no I am not talking about exclusively giving her breast milk until 2. She will eat baby food once recommended by her pediatrician. I just won't give her cow milk until she is 2.)

Gerber Newborn 10 Pack Gauze Prefold Diaper - These are amazing to use as a burp cloth! I like that they are so big and absorbent.

aden + anais girls and swirls Muslin Swaddles - These are the best swaddle blankets ever! They are so big and light weight, which is perfect for a summer baby. I have bought them for every baby shower I have been to since I received my own. My nephew has stolen this blanket from Harper and laid on it. Even the in-law's family dog cuddles up on it. I'm considering buying another 4 pack!

Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Wide Neck Polypropylene Baby Bottle - We have given Harper a bottle here and there to introduce them to her. We found the wide neck bottles are pretty close to being breast like to avoid any nipple confusion. She also has not had any problems spitting up with these. It's also nice to give Tim a chance to feed Harper. The only down side to these bottles are all the different parts that need to be cleaned.

38 Weeks!

How far along: 38 weeks
Gender: Girl!
Weight gain: 36 lbs.
Maternity clothes: All maternity clothes and some large t-shirts. Both seem to be getting a little snug.
Stretch marks: Unfortunately.
Belly button in or out: The top part of it is starting to stick out
Sleep: OK, I wake up about every 2 hours to use the restroom. It will be nice to have control of my bladder again soon.
Best moment this week: We got to see our little girl on the ultrasound again this week. We were in a minor accident on Wednesday and I knew right away I needed to go to the hospital just to make sure baby was ok since we got hit on my side. I was monitored for 5 hours at the hospital and the next day was monitored at my doctor's office and had an ultrasound done. Everything looked great so no need for worry! Dr. said she was in the safest spot possible being surrounded by all the amniotic fluid. I had a headache for 2 days but feel great now and Tim is doing great too. So even though we had that little scare it was great knowing our baby girl is doing perfectly fine :)
Miss anything: Being able to move around! It's hard to get up off the couch these days!
Movement: Lots of movement! She was moving like crazy during the sonogram. It is so weird when she moves because my stomach shifts around. It's a little freaky!
Cravings: Milk, blueberry bagels with strawberry cream cheese, nachos and pineapple!
Looking forward to: Meeting our precious baby girl!!! This week I was dilated 3 cm and 75% effaced. My doctor is out of town now for the next week so hopefully our little girl will wait until she gets back before making her grand entrance!

37 Weeks!!!!

How far along: 37 weeks
Gender: Girl!
Weight gain: 36 lbs.
Maternity clothes: All maternity clothes and some large t-shirts. Both seem to be getting a little snug.
Stretch marks: Unfortunately.
Belly button in or out: Flush with my stomach.
Sleep: OK, it would be nice to not have to wake up in the middle of the night. I have been really tired the last couple of days. I feel like I could fall asleep at any moment.
Best moment this week: We got to see our little girl on the ultrasound today! We went in a little scared since my doctor had said I was measuring a week small but everything looked great! We could see her practicing breathing and I teared up when we saw her little face. She was moving her little mouth and has some adorable chubby cheeks!!!!
Miss anything: Being able to look down and see my toes! Ready for this tummy to be gone!
Movement: Lots of movement! She was moving like crazy during the sonogram. Also so cute when she gets her little hiccups.
Cravings: All things sweet!  Cereal, milk, blueberry bagels with strawberry cream cheese, nachos and pineapple! We ran out of milk and ice cream so we are going to have to make a run to the store!
Looking forward to: Meeting our precious baby girl!!! Last week at my appointment I was 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Today I was 2, almost 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced! Baby girl will be here before we know it!

My dad's side of the family has some bets going on Baby Ryan's due date, weight, height, if she will have hair, and if so will it be dark or light and straight or curly. I would love to hear everyone's predictions! You can comment below!!!!
